Purity

Municipal water will have from 100-500 parts per million (ppm) of total dissolved solids (TDS). These are typically contaminants. You can find lists of what may be in your municipal water from sources including: https://www.ewg.org/tapwater/

Atmosphereh2o harvested water will from 2-10 ppm of TDS. (20-25 after mineralization). It's a clear and simple choice.

Bottled water can be almost equivalent to harvested water, but will still contain 'forever chemical' (PFAs, PFOAs) and micro-plastics not found in harvested water.

Availability

Public water sources can have system failures - like being contaminated by flooding.

Rain doesn't always fall.

Atmosphereh2o water harvesters phase-change water molecules from its gaseous to liquid state from humidity present in the air.

No. Atmosphereh2o water harvesting is a completely sustainable form of obtaining pure water. The water harvested does not draw down aquifers nor local supplies.

Yes. Atmosphereh2o water harvesters use the highest power efficiency dehumidifcation water harvester technology, protected by the M-Corr patent family. Therefore, Atmosphereh2o water harvesters are the easiest to implement with alternative power, which must be properly regulated (using inverters, not converters).

Harvested water is cleaner, less expensive, less wasteful (RO requires 4x as much water as it makes), and is more sustainable than reverse osmosis (RO requires water from somewhere - our harvesters collect it from naturally evaporated and renewed humidity). Our harvesters require far less maintenance and ongoing cost than RO systems. Harvested water is more pure than distilled water, including no detectable 'forever chemicals (PFAs, PFOAs) or micro-plastics.

Yes. Mineralization may be added to the harvested water for bone health, pH, or taste preference. Atmosphereh2o offers components and advice for correct mineralization.

Yes. Producing water from air is completely dependent upon the amount of water vapor in the air. On hot, muggy days the water production is higher. On cold dry days the water production is lower, and ceases below the dew point (for now - Atmosphereh2o has further innovations for the future).

The industry as a result rates water production and efficiency at strict ASHRAE 80°F / 60% relative humidity conditions. At 90ºF / 90% relative humidity, our harvesters produce 170-200% as much water. We 75ºF / 50% relative humidity condition, about 70% as much water.

In contrast, ours are certified in official environmental test chambers so you know exactly what you're going to get. A psychrometric analysis will allow engineers to estimate water yield under different conditions throughout the year based on your location.

AWGs work twice as well in warm humid climates. Our harvesters are designed for indoor / covered use, using the air inside your house or other structure (commercial kitchen, spa, factory, gym ...) as the supply air. Our harvesters clean the air your breathe while pure water is sustainable harvested for you to drink.

Yes. It is dehumidifying the air to harvest pure water for you to drink. Water harvesters are effective at making indoor air less humid.

Removing humidity indoors "feels cooler." Reducing the humidity also reduces the load on your air conditioner's cooling coils, resulting in better A/C efficiency.

A water harvester can be installed as a standalone water supply like a "self-filling water cooler", or mounted to the wall or under your sink with its own faucet, or as a self-filling cistern to make water for your home without needing to wait for it to rain. The water production rate varies with different models and environmental operating conditions. Keep a large tank to not have to rely on a municipal water connection, and enjoy much better qualiity water at the same time. You can integrate a water harvester to ice making machines, refrigerators that make ice and/or dispence water, drinking fountains, animal watering stations - any pure water use case.
